Superhero Teddy Bears

Today at school M-cat and I were given this super-cool project. Our LOTE teacher just got a new laptop and has been figuring out new ways to do stuff for a few weeks, last week it was pod casting, we all made Italian pod cast's. Anyway, this week she found out how to make movies using pictures so we are making a movie while talking in Italian in the background. M-cat and I decided to make a film about a superhero-tree-hugging-tie-dye teddy who saves the world and is a mechanic in his spare time. Then we thought it might be a bit complicated so the teddy is just a superhero. I am now making my teddy a cape and pair of undies. It should be fun.

Domino's (not the pizza)

The hotel that I stayed at on Friday gave me a free pack of Domino's when we checked in. Pretty silly gift, obviously they think that I have nothing better to do than sit in their hotel and play domino's on a Friday night. 'Cough, cough'. Anyways, I was bored today so I decided to play with my free hotel domino's. Then I thought, "Why not film the silly little blocks of wood looking stupid as they fall over?" So I did. This is the result. Man, I must have been really bored.

The Big Bad City where lot's of people seem to enjoy looking foolish and blocking our car.

So... Yesterday I went to, you guessed it, Melbourne. Hello world! What happened that made you so mad?
Melbourne is big, but not super big; smelly, but not super smelly; and busy. We stayed in a big, slightly grand hotel and went to the beach, a market and practically nothing else. Can't complain though, because we stopped at Pennyworth O' Lollies on the way back home. Mmm... chocolate covered raspberries. I took a grand total of 181 photo's. Woops. Poor camera, I guess it will need a bit of rest before I even think about taking more photo's.

Super cute mini pillows are taking over my tree!!

Save us!!!!!!!!!
Wonder-Woman? Cat-Woman? Super-Man? Spider-Man? Where is everyone?
Obviously they don't think that I need saving from these mini-pillows. How rude.
I made these one really boring day when I was at home because I was sick. Speaking of sick, I have been at home for a grand total of 4 days. Yipee.
I expected more of you cat-woman.

Cat Graffiti

Cats are every these days. Even on the walls of schools. Weird. I wouldn't want to go to a school with this painted on the walls. Yay! It's the weekend! After writing that post yesterday M-cat and I went to this school to try and play that funny game. Somehow I don't think we played it quite right. M-cat wants to try and play it at school but after yesterday, there is no way I will be playing in front of everyone at my school. It was funny though.

A games night... Italian style.

Tonight my self and M-cat are going to a very boring and very exceedingly long games night. Really, I should be more enthusiastic about it considering it is going to be raising money for our trip to Italy. (37 days bloggerino's!) This games night basically consists of a bunch of adult's sitting around gambling with fake money. It is not even classy fake money, like monopoly money, but as M-cat calls it: Funny Money.
M-cat is sitting here trying to explain to me the concept of "Funny Money". I am trying to be optimistic about the whole thing but it just goes right over my head.

Another aspect of my school life that goes right over my head and probably all the way over to Antarctica, is the game that the year 10 guys at school play. It involves simply a very bouncy ball and a wall. They proceed to throw the ball at the wall, knowing full well that it is going to come back towards them at twice the speed. Then they hit it and each other. Blah.

This is a video of mine and M-cat's view on the game.

Puckish and Disney letters

"Carolines feeling puckish."
"It means playful and ambitious."
Actually puckish is related to the character in Shakespeare's play: A Midsummer Night's Dream. Puck is a very mischievous fairy.
By the way, this quote is from Bones.

Aren't these just so cute?
I love Disney movies especially Lady and The Tramp and Aristocat's. I now have a whole heap of these but here are some of the best.

"Bloop" goes the toy cat with play money in it's hands.

This is a toy cat. wow.
And this is my piano. Big wow.

Anyway, my LOTE (Language Other Than English) class is holding a games night in order to raise money for our up and coming Italy trip. So guess what M-cat and I had to do all lesson?
I said guess people!
Well, we had to cut out $100,000 thousand dollars in fake coloured money so that the very generous people who pay $10 in real Australian money to play the games can get their $1000 dollars worth of fake money. I suppose that it's worth it. I mean, it is Italia for goodness sake!

I really need to get out of this house and do something. Preferably something that requires me to take some pictures. I'm sick of taking pictures of things in my house.

Bones!

I just love this video. It's so funny! 'Bones' is on tonight. Yay! Not this episode though. This is the season finale which, here in the land down under, isn't airing for a couple of weeks. As soon as season 2 comes out I will be buying it. Till then, I will be saving up for lots of things I can't afford.

Somewhat boring retreats and freaky music?

Not if you live in wonderland. "Sob".

Anyway, today my school made us all participate in a 'God's Love' retreat day where weirdos from America came to talk to us and play games I played in primary school. Can you tell that I had a good day? I bet not. But it's true. I actually had a pretty good time hanging out with the weirdos. J-kitty was there too, thank goodness (not god). They did alot of drama's and skits which were funny.

Then came the inevitable. The weirdo's gave us a sheet with questions on it like "What did you get out of today's retreat" and "Write a letter to Jesus". Blah. My letter consisted of me asking why I would write a letter to someone who has been dead for 2000 years and defending myself against accusations that I stole the Queen of Hearts jam tarts. (Bit obsessed with Alice in Wonderland at the moment, sorry).

Oh, I also wrote that I was a ninja-pirate. Haha. Not likely. It cracked J-kitty up like an egg though. At least it's over. That's what i thought till I got a letter asking me to go on another retreat and that could i please bring a bag of basmati rice with me. See, weirdos.

I just got a new song last night called "Running up that hill" by placebo. Pretty freaky when they talk about the same stuff that was talked about at todays retreat. I just can't escape these people!

Who really likes buses?

I went on an excursion for my history class yesterday. We had to take a bus up to the city and visit the Shrine of Remembrance. So of course it had to be me that got sick when driving through the city. I hate buses. The Shrine was good though.

Where for art thou Harry?

There are some extremely silly and unpredictable people in this world. Like, for example, the people who decided that they would rather release the 6th Harry Potter film in July next year instead of December this year. Shame on you unpredictable Harry-haters. Now I have to wait.

I wish I lived in wonderland

How cool would it be if I lived in Wonderland? Alice's Wonderland that is. Tea parties with the Mad Hatter, chess games day in and day out, croquet, jam tarts and pretty blues dresses. Sounds just about perfect.

I am pretty much only saying this because the prospect of school tomorrow is quite daunting! Exams, essays and blue ink. Ugh. Normally I like school. Just not first days. So running away to Wonderland is actually very appealing right now. Oh well, better go and prepare to enter the lions den.

Need more inspiration!

Ugh! So bored. I really really need some inspiration to do something creative (Hence the title). To make matters worse, it has just started raining. Here is a picture of the blasted rain that is preventing me from going outside and actually doing something. OK, so I got a bit carried away. Let me correct myself: Here are 5 pictures of the blasted rain that is preventing me from going outside and actually doing something.
Wow. Inspiration just came and slapped me in the face. I think I will go and draw that first picture in my sketch book.

The Wizard of Oz is no more.

Oh the calamity! Mr. Rob Guest, a.k.a. Australia's Wizard of Oz and Phantom of the Opera, has died. Sad day. But the show must go on. Unfortunately though, I cannot see it.

Holiday's

I have just got back from the beach yesterday. I love going to the beach, especially when we are camping just like we were this time. I brought my camera with me so I was able to take some really cool photographs of the beach and the old limestone kilns as well. This beach unfortunately is not a surf beach, so we didn't get to go swimming. Not that we really wanted to anyway. It was so cold we probably would have frozen to death if we went for a swim!

Bones and NCIS

OK, so anyone who hasn't seen either of these two tv shows is pretty silly. They are really really good and everyone should go and sit on their buts and watch them! I probably sound like the guy who organizes all the show's publicity but it's true. These are really good shows. This picture is of NCIS. My favourite character is Ziva because she is just so cool how she can whip everyone's butts. The big guy up the front is Gibbs and it is really funny when he gets mad. This show is really good because the crimes are interesting and it keeps you guessing right to the very end. These two pictures are of Bones. Bones follows the life of Dr. Temperance Brennan (a.k.a. Bones), a forensic anthropologist. It also semi-follows her partner, Agent Seely Booth. Thats Bones and Booth kissing in the second picture. Unfortuantly the kiss was only so Bones could give her father and brother (who are both in jail) a real christmas. Their reactions afterward were worth me looking over that minor detail.
The top picture shows the whole team from the forensics lab. In order: Hodgins (bug guy); Angela (draws the victims faces and bug guy's girlfriend); Booth; Brennan; Zack (very smart and works with the bones); and Camille (also works with the bones).

NCIS: Tuesday's, 8:30pm on Ten
Bones: Monday's 9:30pm on Prime
