Future of Hangman

Today I went to the big careers expo in the city. It was focused entirely on the future and more specifically, a teenager's future. To be honest, the expo was actually quite interesting and it did help that my mum and I went shopping afterward. I bought a new pencil case from Smiggle because my old one was falling apart. The store is always so cute, I ended up buying a little hangman usb port thing as well.

Wool

I have been reading my Meet Me At Mikes book again and wanted do make something simple. The granny squares are so dorky but perfect practice. I love using really bright colors when making them. I am thinking that my grandma might like these, or maybe they're a bit too bright for her...

A Wicked Time In The Big Bad City

I have not posted for ages. This is what school does to teenagers: it stops them from blogging and forces them to research phobia lists and the digestive system instead. Finally, here I am typing away, just glad it is Friday.
Last Wednesday I went with my sister, M-cat and Fi to Melbourne to see Wicked. It was absolutely amazing. It is worth the money I paid to see it just for the costumes alone. Everything is so detailed and sparkling and the songs were amazingly sung. They have a lot of beautiful, old churches in the city. This is just one of them. "Sigh". Fi jumped for joy when she saw this sign. We got there so early though, their were practically no delays on the train unless you count all the annoying stops.
You can see Bert Newton as the Wizard in the background. Even though he can barely sing (honestly, he is worse than I am!), he was still good to see on stage. This sign gave us the inspiration, and courage, to move to the left and avoid the reality straight ahead. It was a lot more interesting in the land of Oz.

Eureka Tower is so high! This is the view of it from Federation Square. There is always something happening in Federation Square. That day, it just happened to be us singing 'Dancing Through Life' at the top of our lungs.
A horse-drawn carriage, just the thing needed to shop in style.
Pink couch in Myer. If only I had bought one of the amazing dresses.I tried to pursuade my sister to buy these hilarious shoes. I can just picture her walking up to class in her blue and yellow uniform in these shoes. She declined and bought some converse instead.

Meet Me At Mikes Bag

I made this bag on the weekend, mainly just because I was practically jumping up and down with boredom and because it came out of my new craft book, Meet Me At Mikes. I bought the book with the voucher my school gave me at the end of last year. After making this I had a go at the granny squares. I now have a pile of about eight sitting on my arm chair. They are great things to make while watching re-runs of NCIS. On Easter Sunday after going bowling, my sister and I sat down to watch the film she got as a present. We were both really glad to finally be able to watch the end of A Walk To Remember as the one we borrowed was full of scratches. Oh technology! Please fix this flaw! Sad, but good.Tomorrow my sister, Fi, M-cat and I are going to see Wicked in the city. Very exciting as Fi has not stopped talking about it since she went to see it with school last year. Hopefully it will be everything it is cracked up to be. I am very excited to be going to the theatre. I am going to wearing boots, jeans, my Esprit green jumper, white collared shirt and my new leather jacket. I love this jacket. It is so comfortable. I originally got it for the after deb party, which was not at all what it was cracked up to be. Fi will have the big "I told you so" smile on her face tomorrow.

Easter Bowling

First of all I just wanted to say, Happy Easter! Usually we go camping at the beach or something but this year everyone had to work this weekend so instead we went bowling. It turned out to be really fun. Slushies, gross junk-food and smelly shoes. I lost. Despite this I really enjoyed myself.

Debutante

I am a debutant as of Saturday night. It was all very exciting and spectacular. Unfortunately though, it had to end. I loved every minute. A lot of the night was waiting around, getting pictures taken and dancing: both formal and informal.

Wicked Awesome Vocabulary and Music

Today was the last day of school before the holidays and I did not go. So many excuses. Wrist hurt, had only two classes, it was the last day. The list goes on. Anyways while I was at home I cleaned up the house for my grandma who is coming to watch my deb and watched some Bones. I watched 'The Verdict In The Story' and was reminded about how funny Sweets is on the stand.
I was also very lucky today in the sense that I was brought the whole songs from Wicked as sheet music. Very, very excited. I cannot wait for my wrist to heal so I can play both hands!

April Fools

So today I got tricked into believing that I had a 1000 word essay to hand in, got pushed into my English teacher and was told that I had to have my feet washed in front of the school. I don't particularly like April Fools. It is tre boring, as Angelica says.
I tried to practice piano today but as I foolishly tripped over a basketball yesterday and have sprained my wrist it is hard. I now have to wear a bandage around my wrist for a couple of days. It is not so bad considering the alternative: turning up to deb with a broken arm. Oh, This is not an April Fools.
