NCIS, We All Salute Your Genius

I almost cried. The season opener of NCIS was on last night and it was great. It made me like Ziva again because at the end of last season, I hated her for the whole melodramatic my-partner-killed-my-not-so-real-boyfriend-and-daddy-made-me-come-home saga. But she has recovered her status as awesome.

La la la, Beach or not.

I spent my holiday crocheting, reading, walking and shopping. It was bliss. I love outlet stores. And crocheted teddybears. And flowers. And weird jumping pillow things that make you feel like you are flying.

I thought of this today.

This isn't something special.
This isn't something grand.
This may be about me,
But it may also be very bland.
This could become something.
But just as easily become nothing.
In the end all it really could be,
Is nine lines of poetry,
plain as the eye can see.

I lost my camera.

But then I found it so everything is okay.

Today I went to this interesting little workshop about blogging and zines and stuff. It was good to hear about other people in my town and their experiences with blogging. The lady who took it was called Chay-ya. I think that that is Hebrew for something. It's definitly an interesting name. This is her blog, of winter stars.

Hair.

My hair right now seems like this gigantic ball of frizz and curls that hates me. It is just sitting on top of my head like some sort of pet monkey that keeps hanging it's tail over my face. I have this outrageous mess of a sort-of-grown-out fringe that I absolutely hated when it was an actual fringe but now that it is not, I don't know. I love The Stylish Wanderer's fringe but I know that that kind of thing just does not work for me. It keeps on wanting to move to the side. My hair is annoying me.

It's Getting Warmer

This afternoon I really should have been making notes on The Third Man for Literature, but it was just too beautiful outside to stay indoors. So I went for a glorious bike ride. I went down a new route and found the most magnificent tree I have seen in a long time. It's leaves and bugs were excellent subjects to practice my photography on. Too bad the old (and in my opinion, better) camera doesn't have film any more. These were taken with the good old digital.

Florence's Carousel

When I was in Florence last year I went on this beautiful carousel. Exceedingly dorky, but oh so much fun.

Today Is Moshe's Birthday

It seems so long ago that I was sitting here racking my brains to try and figure out what to say in my very first blog post. In fact, it was a whole year ago today that I created Moshe Cat. It is so much fun writing on this blog (even when sometimes I just can't be bothered). I put together a series of pictures from my blog, one from each month.

Moshe The Golfer

Golf is an interesting sport. Not to watch, of course. To watch it is dull and long with lots of trees blocking otherwise good shots. To play it is something entirely different. That is what I did today. I played golf. Odd, yes. Fun, yes. Boring, no. I had fun.

More odd: I bought the Lisa Mitchell album today. I don't really know if it is any good as I am only starting to listen to it while writing this post. "There is an ongoing love affair". Its true. Things grow on me. Odd things.

"Coffee Coffee you are my heroin" I don't even like coffee.

Awesome is such an overrated word. Like, like. Too many adolescents use the word "like" and "chick". NOTICE TO ADOLESCENTS OF THE WORLD: Stop using the words "like" and "chick" so much. They mean nothing in their over use.

All my animals are gone. From my zoo. Poor little plastic things with now known futures. I am searching for my animals. I think that I killed them all.

Fi? Are you there? Fi?

Moshe

P.S. This is an extract from a conversation with my friend, Fi.

Watching Dawson

Dawson's Creek has become my new lazy-day-while-crocheting TV show to watch. At least it has now that all the good TV shows have finished: Bones, NCIS, Sea Patrol...
